Convert open diff to LSD

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to convert my open diff to accept a 2 way LSD. Ive put up a wanted thread for VLSD stub axles so if you've got a pair spare, let me know

it seems that i need: The stub axles, and new oil seals from the VLSD. The kaaz LSD comes with new bearings. Can someone confirm that this is correct or if anything else is required?

 

Perhaps i'm being silly here... if the kaaz kit comes with new bearings do i still need to order O.E bearings from the stock LSD?

Why did you go for the kaaz? im sure there is a kit which is a straight swap for the open diff, internalls. Try z1 performance (trader on here) they do every kit for the z33, think the one you need is either the last on the list or 2nd from bottom. Called quaife I think.

I went for the kaaz because i've sourced a nearly new 2nd hand item for a great price.

 

Thanks for recommending me to Z1, thats a great help. They have fitting kits for some of their clutch type LSDs for installation into the open. It looks like the OS-Giken will bolt straight into an open diff.

Yeah your right, the quaife unit will bolt straight into the open diff.

No problem, glad to help. I did have a look at the Kaaz diff on ebay but found out I already have a jdm lsd so that will do for the now.
