sinbad
After seeing Val's sidelights at the North West Run back in October i've finally gone and bought some replacement sidelight bulbs from Funkystyling (who were great may i add). How the hell do i fit them??? Do i need to take the headlight out? I kinda didn't even think about it when i ordered them...Doh!
Mathys
You don't need to take the headlight out, but it ain't a 5 minute job: -Remove wheel -Remove plastic trim on front side (you can leave the rear side unless you want to change the blinker bulb on the side of the car). This is hold up with screws and the plastic clips, see attached picture. -You have now access to the back of your headlight where you can twist the bulb out and replace it. For high beam you have to remove the round blue cover which is a PITA to put back.

sl114
Thanks for that, now i know how to take the wheel arch surround off to clean all the mud and gunk off
Mathys
O yeah, don't forget to put a bright light on the working area when removing the fender protector. Otherwise you can't see all the screws etc and you'll get very annoyed (out of experience ).
Removed
you can also just partially prise open the top part of the protector and squeeze the hand in there. Some people have also managed to get to them from the top! must be skinny hands or something
M13KYF
only done indicators from the top. Would of thought the sidelight is to far down to reah. Indicator was tricky enough
Mathys
Yeah, I don't recommend either going from the top. I tried and it really got on my nerves. Just take the wheels off and clean the inside straight away along with the brake calipers etc
sinbad
All done, it was a pretty simple job. The bulbs i got don't seem to have changed the colour too much so i'll probably be getting some more. Thanks all for the advice!
Mathys
Check out these: http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info ... a581f27c24 I had different ones before, but they started to flicker as they couldn't resist the heat of the main beam. These ones are very pretty and work well
