taffyjason
just dot be tempted to use a crappy battery powered soldering iron from Maplins, all it did was get stuck to the wires when it decided to switch off half way through melting the solder! did my best stripping the wires and twisting them together, then insulating them with tape, should work, there's no real current in the wires. Fitting it to my car tomorrow, wish me luck!
taffyjason
well got it all fitted and it all works...woooo only issue is the fascia, the one supplied doesnt fit and the suggested after market one doesnt fit properly either.. what did you use with your JVC in the pic? it looks like it fits perfectly

taffyjason
you see, im learning a lot here. how is that done? i always wondered why there wasnt a code to enter in the unit
Neilp
Don't know mate to be honest. Don't think the Bose is worth anything unless it doesn't skip etc. most people just upgrade.
taffyjason
ive scoured the net, it seems audio specialists can do it, which is worrying if you think thieves know this! my dad has an electronics business, so may attempt the skipping fix when im there, since i don't need it anymore
whiltongee
Hi, I know I am a few years late for this forum but I have just bought myself a 2004 350z GT. It comes with a pre-installed double din head unit. I want to replace it with one that has built in GPS. Does anyone know any good ones? Or has anyone had any good/bad experiences with any?
