370Ad
Well it gets odder, the wire seems to split into 3, 2 go to earth points and one is spliced into the top left connector on the far left plug below. Ideas anyone?

Cragus
Maybe its task is simple to light up the button Very popular install - buttons that are there to light up....themselves.

Chris`I
Thats goota be the power coming in and earth for the light in the switch, but where does the output go????? +1 - got to be at least 1 ACC switched live and earth to light up the button. Then maybe the other is a switched live (from the switch) to the connector. Although theres a few places in Zed wiring which are switched earths. So maybe thats why you have 2 earths? My guess is something has been removed, but the switch has been left behind

rabbitstew
Maybe previous owner had a row of spot lights bolted to the front bumper? And that was the on/off switch for them?
370Ad
Well one of the earth wires was way back down near where the B pillar would be on a normal car. There is 4 screw holes over where the Bose sub is, maybe he had an amp mounted there?! Ill check to see if its still a Bose sub, if its not that might indicate it was definitely some sort of audio kit. Bit odd to have it on a switch though! Thanks for the fun ideas guys Shame i let you down though.....ill make something up if you want
spursmaddave
If that switch is anything to go by then think yourself lucky that whatever it was attached to was removed from the car
ilogikal1
If that switch is anything to go by then think yourself lucky that whatever it was attached to was removed from the car Assuming it has been removed and isn't just hiding somewhere still... sasha@lazytrips
The previous owner is probably sitting at the computer with popcorn and laughing his head off thinking "I knew it would drive them nuts".

KyleR
I had a switch like that in my old car, it was to turn the amp on in the boot, if I didn't have a switch for it, it would have flattened the battery over night...
