JetSet
At that price an E46 would get my vote. If you can budget a little higher: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3278791.htm Can't believe they still cost this at 92,000 miles - engine rebuild though! Only 300 of these were made, They were £48k new, so they're probably very rare now and they fetch as much as £20k these days. Pete
mrobinson2
Little bit over budget, but a 'curve-ball'. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3571558.htm or... (plenty of change from 10k) http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3620066.htm bit of class..... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3618107.htm Again, over budget, and not really a stop gap, but so friggin cool http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3278791.htm nice cars... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3539002.htm this wass my personal favourite, but out of budget. so understated and such a sleeper http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3528440.htm

rtbiscuit
M3 Vert looks good as for the maserati, lovely looking cars but will spend most of its life being fixed in a garage. I looked at them a while back, but my mechanic friend warned me off them. if you have a good sized wallet then go for it. but then saying that i bought the XKR so i'm still fixing things all the time
Freebird
Cant believe no one has said a Stagea, our workshop one we had was immense. Ok so it was an epic build as it had a forged RB26 in it running 800bhp at the wheels. But there are generally much more sensible normally. Get an Autech version one, or if you can one with a R34 GTR front end conversion, they look amazing! i.e.
