bkjmr
http://www.350zmotoring.com/forums/diy-garage/18920-rear-hatch-opening-fix-how.html I just did this and it seemed to have worked. Only opened boot about 5 times to test it. Previously my boot wouldn't open unless i pressed the button and lifted it up. Only costs 4p too. I used a vice to put the boot over the spring as it is a bit niggly otherwise.
brumjohn
think theyre about £37-40 quid each plus postage. Your local nisssan dealer can source for a very similar figure and you may save postage, but they are unlikely to have them in stock, support your forum traders where poss. drysd4le
was gonna try the penny trick but the part that has broken is the little lug that holds it in place to the body so the whole unit is useless cheers though

cmck13
Think someone used tap washers. It was me and I thought it was better because steel washers, money, etc wear through the rubber boot and and start eating into the bodywork. a couple of small tap washers work well.
