Will370z
At last http://www.gtspirit.com/2012/02/08/germ ... ors-lease/ Perhaps the new operators will start investing money in the track itself rather than all the other rubbish thats been in development recently. Hopefully be the start of good things.
Ekona
It could, or it could actually make things worse. There's a whole lot of ground there with the whole Nurodisney thing, and either someone needs to find a way to make that profitable which the previous tenants couldn't, or it has to be replaced and started again with something different. The latter requires a serious investment, and that's just not going to happen unless one of the sheiks fancies a new playtoy. As much as we'd love it all to be 24/7 touristfahrtens, those days are long gone. There will be significantly more test days from the manufacturers being booked which impacts on the number of days you and I can drive it, and if prices drop then more people will go and it'll just get busier and you'll get more closures from accidents, which will lead it getting busier etc. It's a vicious circle. rtbiscuit
its the track equivilant to a backpackers rough guide to the planet, becuas eyou have the book you think your going to find some paridise eutopia, but everyone else has the book as well, and when you turn up its rammed with tourists. the hidden days of the ring are over, it used to be a place to go if you were in the know so to speak, but everyone knows about it now and for that reason i don't think its as magical as it used to be. every man and his dog seems to have driven the ring now. ZMANALEX
Now that news comes as no surprise, but expect a few years to pass before the German government find a suitable investor. The ring is still brilliant providing you do not go on a public day, however the private days are now rarely without incident. Alex.
