garygttdi
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3616862.htm Thought this was it , Or am I panicking for no good reason. Having to do the deal from a distance never good but its what you have to do with specialist cars. Just about to hand over deposit via Debit card, checked out Cat D issue OK. Did HPI and mileage does not stack up. Phone dealer back a he says engine changed at Japtech at 27K miles with new clocks mileage is actually more like 60K plus a new engine I did not know about. Do I walk or do I buy?
rabbitstew
Walk. Sounds like dealer wasnt being honest and that would put me off straight away.
Bakes100
Walk.
HaydnH
Personally I'd walk, Cat D + having an engine swap out? Sounds dodgey and there's plenty around at present. I'd try and get your deposit back as well if they knew about the enine swap, it's hardly something they should have tried hiding and hardly "without fault"... although dealers are often hard to get deposits back from. david 164
dont walk, RUN, you will find better
EH 370z
As Pm'd Personally I would run too there are far nicer cars for sale on here, yes you will pay a bit more money but not plonked and sfter what hasnt been said I would take anything for granted, and the miles overall ant that good either. All too wishy washy for me
Freebird
All sounds too dodgey for my liking, I know the Nismo stuff is a huge plus but I wouldnt base my decision on a car that had that fitted. With all things considered the Cat D and the engine swap and the fact it was kept quiet, its probably not even a genuine nismo kit either. You can get decent copies of it too if you decide its something you really want, and just buy a standard trim car

MFM
I agree with all that has been written so far. Walk/run away from it! Mike
Ricey
Go to the dealership, turd on the desk, ask for the keys. That's the only fair deal.
Dom187
As others have said run like hell! By the sound of it they have been ecomical with the truth BEFORE you put your money down, the fact they have phoned you up telling you about the engine swap changes the deal you agreed. Walk away from the deal on the basis the playing field has changed. Bear in mind should you have to sell the car in the future, selling a Cat D is hard enough let alone with a engine swap as well . Its a buyers market out there keep looking and you will find your dream car EDIT: just re read your post and I see you may not have put your money down... SteveRS
Sometimes we have to let some go. After all it turned out different to what you expected, it no longer has 27k miles it's more 60k miles. What's your budget? Are you looking for one with the Nismo kit? colour choice? If its a tastefully modified zed your after and you don't mind the higher mileage I would buy this one: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=51840 It has A LOT of fans on this forum, me included Or if you want the Nismo kit but don't mind not having the GT pack: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=52055 Dependimg on your budget obviously. Peter10
I was always told dealers can't sell CAT D cars and had to auction them? Whether that is true or not, run away and don't look back. EDIT: Actually, go back and offer £400 for the alloys .
AK350Z
Advert written in CAPS LOCK would automatically have me looking elsewhere before I even got to the cat d part.
Luke0549
Pfft, ild tell him to take off £1500 for bullshitting? basically selling a clocked car....
docwra
Pfft, ild tell him to take off £1500 for bullshitting? basically selling a clocked car.... Id be tempted to try this - "either you give me £1500 or Ill speak to trading standards" might get you as nice bargain. Other than that, run, even if you are holding scissors at the time. garygttdi
To make matters worse I see the advert has not been changed to reflect the change of engine or the true mileage at 60K not 27, somebody is going to get caught

ArsenalMoh
I'm glad we've got on to the run option....but I'd also recommend you hide. Run and hide. The last thing you wanna do is let the Zed Bug get you and make a rash decision and decide to risk buying this. Just be patient....you'll find something. It's an annoying thing to hear...but I was going through this a few weeks back.
AMT
27K on the clock, uk car 05' for only £6995? Wouldn't even go near it. All others at that year are usually higher I think. Somethings not right lol

SteveRS
I see some poor sod has brought it will they never learn, or was it one of you guys in which case good luck. I think another new member posted the same car up as a potential buyer, i quickly referred him to this thread, not sure whether they went for it or not.
