Ebized
Sounds good, especially for those of us of a certain age Which company? Saga and DON'T Well blow me down When I had turned 50 i bought one of the first Turbo Scoobys in the UK and thought - ah Saga as I had hit the magic age! When I rang them they were over twice the price of a couple of other companies I had checked. I just concluded they regarded anyone over 50 driving one of those would be a real risk - remember those were the days when the Turbo Scoobys looked just like the non-turbo versions and their true potential was not well known and the Escort Turbo's were the 'in-car' to have then

Vik54
it p*sses me off when these people of a 'certain age' come and rub our noses in how cheap their insurance is I think my Dad paid £180 this year fully comp on his 535d - he tried to add me they trebled the premium yet when I tried adding him to the zeds insurance they said they would give him a £500 excess even my own is only £

I was trying to point out the quality of coverage was far superior to the other 4 other companies I contacted for anything like that premium. One of them even quoted £318 but I want more from an insurance company than just a piece of paper that allows me to buy the road tax. And I do sympathize very much with younger drivers who are being ripped off by these companies. Hopefully the antics in the insurance industry such as referrals, outrageous legal costs and phoney claims for soft tissue injuries will be clamped down on by the government as reported on radio this morning. Come the day, maybe we'll all get better premiums

Come the day, maybe we'll all get better premiums The figure that I heard on Radio 4 this morning was a bill of £2 billion/year for these spurious claims which works out at £90/policy. Now I do believe that if you are damaged by someone's actions then you are entitlesd to be compensated for it. I also know that genuine whiplash is lifechanging, just ask my wife. But £90/policy seems a bit much.
