SteveW
Thank you for the links Biscuit. I might give one of these a go before getting something welded in place so I can always add, change, replace etc http://exhaustpartsuk.com/index.php?mai ... ts_id=1076 Cheers
rtbiscuit
Thank you for the links Biscuit. I might give one of these a go before getting something welded in place so I can always add, change, replace etc http://exhaustpartsuk.com/index.php?mai ... ts_id=1076 Cheers if it works, the clamps can always be removed and the ends trimmed and then weld it on. SteveW
Yeah mate that was what I was thinking. Clamp it temporarily until I'm happy with the volume then have it tigged on. However last night a bloke stopped me in the petrol station to say my car sounded amazing, probably one of the best cars he's ever heard. I do love the K1 for that. Had comments at track days saying I've had the best sounding car there etc. Further to my previous response another email from Jetex: Hi Steve, All our silencers have a slotted end so allows clamping. The slots can also be cut off of course, if a nicer tig weld is required. Regards, Neil Jetex
wackosr
Hi SteveW, Great info thanks for that, appreciated. Cheers rtbiscuit too, a few to choose from!! Also found this the other day http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performan ... -silencers (If you go to the home pace and rol over performance there's a pic of a Zed!!) I like the idea of clamping it on to see how it fits/sounds etc, then getting it welded afterwards. Also, with cutting the pipe to fit it, you get a bit of scope to make it say 10mm longer/shorter to give more/less protruding from under the bumper. I must admit, I need to get one of the mounts modded slighly when at the welders to get the cans level! Yes, the comments are generally good regarding tke K1's voice!! Hope to get a free weekend soon, so I can get under the car and have a measure up. Have a good weekend guys. Jacko
