chocohercules
(UPDATE) Well finally got my Crank Position Sensor from the dealer after waiting 4 weeks??..... Got it fitted and guess what??? ..........Car wouldnt start WTF??? It would crank up but not turn over and start almost like there is no petrol? Erased the code with the new Sensor still not starting! Put the old sensor back in and started straight away? Im thinking now if maybe the new sensor from the Dealer is faulty? Car is now driving with under half the power it should have and that damn engine light aaaaggghh!!! Can someone please shed some light pleeeaaaseeee
Jez @ H-Dev
I had a dodgy crank sensor on my car. Symptoms were intermittent misfire, but no CEL. I'd be surprised if the new sensor was faulty, although its possible. Do the old and new sensors look identical? You need to find out the error code and go from there. chocohercules
Yeah the sensors are identical??? so confusing as the old sensor gives me lack of power and engine light cel which i think is throwing my traction/ABS and ESP lights too? Brand new sensor in and the car wont bloody turn over, which aint an issue with the old sensor? I have had the codes read before which pointed out a problem with Crank Position sensor which i now have this dilema with now?? Mark@Abbey m/s
With the old CKP fitted have you checked the ignition timing to see if the ignition timing is correct? Sounds like it is retarded or on limp home, I feelt he car needs to go a Consult to find the problem. The traction/ABS light CEL is the following problem C1103 R Front Wheel Sensor Circuit Open/Short Mark
andlid
Bring it to one of the garages represented here on the forum. Whee are you based? I wouldn't be driving it in its current state. Could be something else madly wrong with out....
