Ozz
OMGOMGOMG Sorry. Little excited. I was geared up to change my 57plate zed for a 2008 cayman but got a little nervous on the deal. However, just came across a 1 year old 370z in Grey (60 plate), GT Pack with sat nav for 23k. The best bit - 685 miles!! The car is a long way from me so I'll be buying unseen with option to walk away. Called the garage, agreed 9k for my car (book price prob 11k so could be worse) so agreed in principle to buy. Calling them back next week with a few questions and to arrange transfer of funds before collection. So, my head is fried as I wasn't really expecting to buy today. What questions do I need to ask before taking ownership, the low mileage should mean everything pretty much as new. Q's: two keys? bodywork condition Tire level Really I can't think of anything else. She has the syncro rev thing which is a must. Anything I need to be aware of with such low mileage? Finally - I really wanted a white one so if any dealers on here have one and can beat this price let me know!

Mega
Any signs that it has been clocked back and actually has more mileage. That's all. It should be PERFECT inside. Perfect. Not a crease in the leather or nick in the gear shift. Sounds like a good deal. If it checks out then goo for it And congrats.

Hmm..what first I wonder, well my hirev roars with its twin JWT intakes so I guess that! Will research mods for 370, my third zed but my first 370. Not even seen one up close yet! That reminds me, I should take the chargers off and sell seperate.
jollyranchers
no other zedders in the area that could take a sneaky look around it for you ?
Ozz
no other zedders in the area that could take a sneaky look around it for you ? its with a nissan franchise, they seem genuine so I'll trust them its as described. I really hope the panels match, heard so many horror stories about the paint. I always fancied a supra in gunmetal and the colour looks close so I should like it. Would have loved white though, stunning. And the alloys...jeez they'll need to go at some point. I love my current zed so can't see me being disappointed. I was set on the cayman, just a stunning looking car but the price was creeping closer to 30k than I would like and I just couldnt make the jump. I'd love the gen 2, and they are hovering around 32-35k so maybe one for next year. Sad to see my zed go, awesome troublefree car, owned 1 year in Jan. Would have made a great car for someone but I can't be bothered with hassle of private sale.
Sarnie
£9k for your zed
Ozz
£9k for your zed I know. Porsche only offered me 9 against a 28k cayman. But in todays market, 57plte hi-rev, 2 owners, 39k, white interior, new MOT - maybe 11k max, 10 for this time of year. So 9k for no hassle... EH 370z
Good luck with the new car. If it has been an ex demo check ALL the plastics for scratches and the roller boot cover for holes, they are quite fragile. Also excessive stone chipping on the front end and check no one has bottomed it out on a speed hump or something. The car NEEDS two keys they are £250 to replace and a full hand book pack with the service book & Nav stuff. Sounds obvious but scrutinise the alloys inside and out, if they are marked ALL the wheels have to be re frurb'd because of the colouring
Bockaaarck
Ozz, this car isn't far from me at all, but I don't think I'll get a chance to go look at it as we're getting ready to scoot off to the better halfs parents for Christmas. I know there are a couple of other SW members pretty close to the location. We'll be back in the area on the 27th, If get a chance I'll go down and have a nose at it for you. Ozz
Thanks guys, this is the car: linky He wouldn't budge on price, just dropped it apparantly. May not be the best deal but short of buying new I won't get lower mileage and I get hung up on low mileage (I know its not everything). Ozz
Deposit paid so just a question of both cars being as described (i'm pretty happy with mine ) Picking her up Friday. Still not sure I should be parting with mine as its probably the best car I've owned so far but its been a year and this new zed seems like a good upgrade. I may be relocating next year somewhere so probably cars will cease to be a priority for me so may as well enjoy this one for 2012. Nissan High performance rang me earlier to offer the same spec zed (2010, grey GT, sat nav) but with 6k miles for 21999. Seems like good price if anyone is looking - my second choice if mine falls through.
Ozz
Picked the car up on Friday. I had mine cleaned ready for partx on thursday and had major second thoughts as she looked so good and I knew the dealer would put her up for 11k (which he said he would). But those doubts disappeared when I saw my new car up close (and my first 370z up close). Stunning. There were angles that the old zed looked kinda ugly from (but mostly awesome) and they really do seem to have taken the very best of the 350 and added to it. The lines are perfect, the wheels which I didn't like I actually don't mind, the interior is a huge improvement (though the speedo is rated far too high, makes low speed driving difficult), the sat nav is brililant and must have, the sound quality is very good, the ride and performance is excellent. She feels a little heavy on handling, I think its because she's so wide and I need time to get to know her but she doesn't put a food wrong - as she shouldn't with 275 rear tyres! I should have checked those out first. Oh...and the 20mpg average...ouch. But worth every penny. My previous zed was probably my favourite car I ever owned, over my older JDM 350z, but this new one...really does feel special. So I love her. The dealer got the mileage wrong, it was only 550 miles and she really is immaculate - I could not distuingish her from a brand new car and god only knows why the previous owner never used her. She is totally unmarked and I am soooo paranoid about driving her I've always been lucky enough to have relatively nice sports cars but I've never got the amount of looks I get in this. I bought her for me, not other people but I have to admit its nice if a little embarrasing. Some serious car park envy going on in work as well So I'll post up pics soon, but for anyone thinking of upgrading from the 350, do it, its a very different car but retaining the 'feel' of the zed badge. Awesome.

Awesome. It's great that you like the car so much. Don't know about 350s but I've found that the 370 gets heaps of positive attention. We parked up in Burford in the Cotswolds a few weeks ago for a short stay at a hotel there. A guy came straight up to us and said I have to tell what a great looking car you have! I think Zs being not very common on the roads mean they get a lot more interest than the usuals suspects TTs, Boxters....! Enjoy!
rogerxp
Just caught up with this thread, what a price, I can't beleive how much you can get a virtually brand spanker for these days - crazy - what a lot of car for the money. I mean, I got my car for a steal, but you've done brilliantly. Oh, best colour by the way . The 370 is a huge step up form the 350 and a real pleasure to own - even if you only have 12 months with her; what a 12 months.

rabbitstew
Sounds like a nice buy and glad you liked it! Personally I just didnt get on with the 370z when I tried one out for a few days, and preferred the 350. Be interesting to see what they actually put your car up for on the forecourt! He said he'd try 11k and go from there. She was an awesome car and I thought I'd miss her a lot but this new one is a different class and I love it. I still think the 350z is an awesome motor, and would happily of kept my old one but its rare I keep something more than a year and this was too good to turn down. I've already doubled the mileage on her. Pics to follow, bad ones at the moment off my phone, just need to store them somewhere. I regret rushing to partx mine as I should have pushed my bro more to have her at 9k and partx'd his 350z jdm (my other old one lol) instead. I should have offered mine at 9k on here too but hey, i have no patience.
