wave2k
First of all, im new to the forum, picked up my Zed sunday 2004 GT UK model This question has probably been asked before, but im under the impression that fitting these items (Cone filter, Y-pipe cat back) will make the car run LEAN, requiring a remap. Or does the car sense its running lean when you fit the items and adjust the fuel accordingly (i thought this was the idea of an o2 or MAF sensor ) Thanks for any advice. Jez @ H-Dev
The main thing about getting a remap is that the fuelling and ignition timing will be optimised for the setup on your car. You can fit the mods without a remap but you will not see such a large gain as if you had the ECU recalibrated to suit. On the '04 UK cars closed loop (using the lambda sensors) is only used on low load and not full load. So while the car will still run safe, it won't be ideal. wave2k
Makes sense Prices seem to vary a fair bit for a remap, the the average people pay for a zed remap ?
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Are you asking because you want the best results from a remap ? If so then you want: Rtcustoms 06 air filter conversion Plenum spacer High flow cats or decats Catback exhaust
