eviljoker7075
Hi all. I am looking at buying my first zed. Over the weekend I tested two and found one that I'm interested in... However I noticed that the clutch was quite high, in comparison to the other. I just wanted to check if this is a known or common issue - or if it should be considered a problem? Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers!
coldel
Lots of posts on this...have a 'SEARCH' see what you turn up. From my own experience, I bought a Zed with 42k on the clock with a high clutch, it went 2k miles later. Some people say their clutch is just high though and drives fine... eviljoker7075
So it's quite subjective then... What sort of money would I be looking at if it did go?
Mega
do you mean the bite is higher or that the whole pedal is higher? If it's the biting point, then If it's high: It's on the way out. Go for the lower one. It is of course possible they've adjusted the pedal position to personal preference. The higher one might be "normal" in terms of bite but the overall pedal is higher up. eviljoker7075
Nah the bite point is fine, sorry should have mentioned that. That's why the alarm bells didn't go off right away. Thanks for the advice
Leeroy
The biting point is high on the 350Z - like almost at the top of the pedal travel, high. I believe it can he adjusted though.....
coldel
With my new clutch and flywheel in my biting point was certainly much lower than it was previously...
Rentech
Had a high biting point on mine when I bought it with 5k on the clock. Still exactly the same at 30k when I sold it.
