geoff-r
It's actually quite sad to see these cars in this state, especially the XK150. My dad has an XK140 in the state it should be in and it truly is a beautiful car.
rabbitstew
Problem is, back in the 70s and 80s when this one was "customised", they werent seen as the classic cars they are now adays. So, loads of people happily butchered them and many other cars. Id be tempted to buy it and turn it back into original.
Southernspeed
Lose the body 'mods' and there's a basis for a cracking car there. Makes you want to be a bank robber out running Carter and Regan But then again, I always had a hankering for Stead's wide arched Jag (and Purdey )

Don't like to argue but i remember the 80's classic car scene as a time of hugely inflated prices, cars bought and sold for investment purposes more than a love of the things, and therefore a massive increase in cars being 'restored to original'. I use the inverted commas because many were restored with a shockingly bad level of skill just to make a quick buck as prices were rising every day.
