EH 370z
In the austere time we live in, can someone explain to me how £250000 can be justified on this monstrosity below. On the A66 roundabout over the road from my dealership Any guesses as to what it is by the way?
DoogyRev
I know what it is Toby..... A complete waste of Money Some desk jockey dreamed it up probably

Leeroy
It's looking a bit crap at the moment but I'll reserve judgement for the finished item - providing EH 370z hasn't torched it by then I wouldn't mind if the public art that we got was cool, like much of the stuff on the continent

EH 370z
Hilariously, this work of art is supposed to represent a “Corn field†Fantastic, for a town which is synonymous with the steel and petro-chemical industry. Still it will give the scally’s some scrap metal to sell on the black market for a bit of extra pocket money – no seriously they will…. Stew
Recently Aberdeen City Council spent about £60m restoring n old building. In my opinion it was worth every penny and the best tax pounds spent in my lifetime locally. The finished building looks absolutely stunning! Marchial College in Aberdeen. Awesome! The £120k statue outside is ace too!

docwra
We have this: Its apparently the worlds first laser lit sculpture on a roundabout ........ except the lasers stopped working after about 6 months and havent been fixed. Most locals now refer to it as "The Bog Roll" Cost? £100K.
Iwantone
Having one of these did no harm to the Italian town of Piza...... EH 370z
At least these look like something, as far as I can see our new addition has just made the roundabout slight more dangerous to get around as now you can’t see what you will drive into. As a small foot note, this round about was fine. Then some years ago some idiot covered it in traffic lights are prioritised it, now there is one accident per week on it! Daryl
In my home town of Grays, they put a load of rocks on a round about,as they thought it would make people think of Stonehenge! That cost about £100k.
Stew
Here we have flowers... which are paid for by companies (mostly oil operators) putting signs up on the roundabout. It's not exactly amazing but flowers are better than some of the sh*te posted!
