Krissg
Right, sorry if I come across as a total idiot but what are the main benefits of using lightweight ally pulleys? Cars in the garage shortly for my new racing clutch and fly so seeing what else I can do while I'm at it! cheers
Zugara
Plenum spacer and up rev will have better gains than lightweight pulley's.
Southernspeed
Any weight saving in rotating masses will help the engine spin up faster. Go too far though, like a really light flywheel for example and you can effect idle smoothness and lose engine braking, but's quite extreme lightening. Daryl
I have a set of AMS uprated pulleys fitted to my 350. I think it spins up abit quicker than it did before. Really noticed it in 6th gear while doing 30mph,then accelerating, seems to spin up abit better than it did before.
Daryl
Plus,if you felt the weight of the standard pulleys, you would change them,as the standard ones weigh alot!

Iv already had the up rev and just in process of looking for a plenum. Presume they aren't too much of a job to fit? Bumper and rad off ? coldel
Seen guides for plenum fitting on here if you do a search - some on you tube too i am sure. As far as I know plenum install is a case of .. removing the upper plenum, which is under the strut bar and engine cover

Dblock
There is a few ways. You could lock the fly wheel. Or you could put it in 6th to crack the pulley bolt. Or you could use a strap wrench in one direction and a breaker bar in the other. Some people use a "cheater" bar. They jam the breaker bar on the floor and start the engine to crack it. Check out the US sites for more info.
Keyser
Did mine the other day - they can be tight! My engine is out so easy for me You don't want remove the rad - you would need to de-gas the air con to take it out completley and get in that way.
