sinbad
I also have a jdm which is out of warranty. if i were u i'd go for it especially if its one of the basic services. It seems to me that some Nissan garages (aka stealers) are hit or miss on how good their workmanship/customer service is too, I personally found them o.k. and their prices to be reasonable but i doubt i will go back again. Depends on whats important to you really, the services are pretty much done to manufacturers standards anyway from what i can gather, just cheaper labour. As long as you find a respectable garage then its all good in my eyes. I'd recommend TDI north in warrington. All in my humble opinion of course. lomoto
Jap specialist everytime , but at 11k miles all it wants is an oil / filter change and quick inspection

Sarnie
No point getting a Nissan service as it won't carry any extra weight upon sale. As its an import there will alway be an element of doubt as to the history of the car whilst in Japan. People like FNSH on UK cars to see that it has a traceable history. kerbside*motors
I would go for an independant garage too. Why not have a look in the traders section for someone near you? Specialists service standards tend to be superior to dealers because they know what the car needs and can fit the best parts rather than following a fixed service routine and being tied to using genuine parts. I was thinking about going back to the importer in Edinburgh or using my local independent garage. Can you recommend any in the Falkirk area - I take it you are not far from me?
