Removed
what do you mean exactly with "intake top cover" ? anything that is plastic i guess can be painted
toykilla
You meant the black plastic engine cover? yes it can be painted. Proper prep and high temperature paint should be used.
patto
The top part of the alloy intake , the one on top of the engine . I was thinking about painting it or having it chromed ? I know it gets hot but i not sure if auto paint would handle the temps. I try the local paint supplyer were ive bought paint from in the past he should have some tech sheets showing the temp limits for paint . Removed
aaaaaaaah the plenum! yeah you can get it chromed, seen a few pics on the US sites, looks bling! BUT I strongly recommend you looking into upgrading... sicne you take it off and pay money to get painted... might as well go the whole hog and buy a better plenum! it's a well worth mod in my opinion! Guest prescience
See here http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... =strut#456 and here http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... =strut#266 Others include Kinetix SSV - ask Stephen G (metal shiny too!) APS plenum - recommended for APS TT setups (metal) Crawford - need a new strut bar (metal) All will give better breathing than stock which is known to restrict fuel/air flow for certain cylinders

patto
Thanks for the info I think ill upgrade it , i like the Kinetix ones as i wont to keep the strut bar. Pos in wroung topic area but Mongoose ltd have been using my car as a design mule , they have already made and will now be selling a car back exhaust system if any body interested ( the work manship is A+) Ive asked them regarding the club and the owner has said that he will offer discount or free fitting if your not too far away from the place. Bigger discounst would be offered for a group buy . The cars going back to them in about 8 weeks time and they are designing new headers and sport flow cats plus a new upgrade chip for it . Removed
well get them to come on board so that we can see all their products and they are welcome to advertise their stuff too! (as long as they treated you well and have good customer service! )
toykilla
I wouldnt suggest paint, althought you could go that way. The Crawford and APS are metal and can be powdercoated any color you want. The Kinetix is plastic and could be painted, although I am not sure about how it would stand up in the long term.
Removed
I painted my own V4 Kinetix and up to now ( a couple of thousand miles) it seems to be withstanding it all ok!
