Wasso
Thought it was about time I posted some pictures of some of my completed work. All pictures and info can be found at http://www.pristinedetailing.co.uk Business started with a request to remove emulsion spots over the entire car, if I had to count how many were actually on the car, I'd probably say 10,000+ It took in all about 6 hours to remove these stuborn spots. The Car: The Paint Spots: To the finished product Thereafter a Vauxhall Insignia - which shall we say was VERY dirty! AFTER Now something we can all relate to.... (SlimJim) Bit of a snow foam... The finished product
Wasso
Onto a nice Merc - SL350 - very nice (Not many before pics as there was intermitent rain) After Then came along Husky After
Wasso
Now, this one I have to say shows the greatest of improvements to a vehicle that was 12 years old and riddled with Swirl Marks!! We are talking serious abuse! Enjoy.... Here comes a close of up the nearside wing!! Swirls removed There's more.... And with magic! And here's the final product after some Dodo Juice SuperNatural Wax
Wasso
The Vauxhall Insignia from earlier returned for a pre-winter detail and seal ready for our cold and wet winters. (A smaller selection of photo's as it's a repeat vehicle) Completed! Another returning customer, wanting just a wax seal for winter. (After pics only) Moving on to a BMW530d - Requiring a complete overhaul. This beast took two full days! Dirty CAR!! And here's the after pic's which produced a massive when the owner returned (He was undecided on the colour of the car when he brought it to me, he now has a firm idea of it's original colour once finished). Wasso
And finally a 370z - a simple exterior clense of the paintwork, SnowFoam, Wash, Clay, Wax - ScottyZ Before Pics (and there's not a great deal to see as it was fairly clean - apart from the bugs and flies!) After That's it folks.... so if anyone is interested who's fairly local of course please give me a shout, happy to work some magic on your pride and joy. MK-Ultra
Amazing!! That BMW looked appaling before but the results were incredible. I'm planning on getting my front bumper and bonnet resprayed as is has some of the worst chipping i've ever seen the previous owner most have been the founding member of the tailgate crew or something. But when i do i need the swriling removed from the rest of the car. So if you fancy a very short trip down to St. Albans........ Seriously thou good jobs
Southernspeed
How long does it take to get these sort of results?
Wasso
ML-Ultra PM sent Southernspeed - all depends really, the Focus was all day, the remaining other cars except the BMW530 were all 1 day jobs. The BMW was so dirty that I went through two claybars!! But the satisfaction of turning a filth bucket into something great to look at again, even if they are 10+ years old is very satisfying. I prefer the dirty cars
x.laura.x
Fab work!! what sort of prices do people pay to have there car detailed if you don't mind me asking... and does the car stay clean longer than a few days after being detailed... (you know what the english roads are like)
Wasso
Fab work!! what sort of prices do people pay to have there car detailed if you don't mind me asking... and does the car stay clean longer than a few days after being detailed... (you know what the english roads are like) Price varies to be fair, everyone charges differently, I've only started out this year, so my prices are fairly low, but as the business develops prices will go up. A lot of the price depends on the products being used, and how long the car is being detailed for. You're looking at 3-4 figures for the prestige vehicles. I actually have a Rolls Royce Phantom to detail, which scares the living crap out of me, what if?? Does the car stay cleaner for longer, I'd say yes, as long as a good application of wax is applied and allowed to set correctly. I wax my car every 2 weeks and after 3 or 4 sessions there's a superb layer of wax and when rainwater hits the car, it slides straight off. This will apply for dirty water such as puddles. What seems to make the car dirty sooner is the airborn contaminents. These fall from the air and sit on your car, the Wax has no chance of removing such particles. This builds up and after say 5 days it rains, the Wax can't perform as it would if it was fresh. So although it's not rained, the wax doesn't work as well and therefore the rainwater will sit on the car and potentially dry, thus allowing for more dirt to build up. So a good wax gives you longer periods between washes. For instance I snowfoam every weekend. Some occasions I don't even need to don my mitt, the snowfoam does the job, because the wax is working as it should. This is why I build up the wax over a period which helps me in the long run. x.laura.x
ahhh okay, thank you for the response ... don't think my clio is worth a 3-4 digit wash.... just that shes getting the swirls like on the bmw... and runs and i rush when am polishing because i get bored... Wasso
Don't know if it matters or not, but you haven't swirled the reg plate on three of those 370Z pics. Nice work though chap. Fixed now, for some reason Photobucket showed correctly, but wasn't coming through to the forum as it is in Photobucket?? So I've created a new version of the photo's. Laura - find a detailer in your area and ask them specifically to work on the swirl removal, which will allow you plenty of time to wash and clay the car ready for the detailer to remove the swirls. I'm sure they'll do you a fair price.
Chris`I
Fixed now, for some reason Photobucket showed correctly, but wasn't coming through to the forum as it is in Photobucket?? So I've created a new version of the photo's. The forum does nothing with pics from external IMG links, it just put them into the HTML (we dont download it this end or anything) - so it must have been some caching going on in your browser. Ctrl-F5 usually fixes it
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Nice pics Ian, As said above the results on the BMW are unreal You could have left out the pic of the baldy though
Wasso
I was debating whether to post that pic but thought there's no harm, at least people can put a name to a face
bronzee
That bimmer station wagon was a shocker. Doesn't look like it had ever been cleaned.
spursmaddave
Great pics and results Ian the fact that the REALLY swirly BMW was black just makes the transformation even more stunning! Chris, bald is beautiful

slimjim
Cannot recommend Ian enough. The pics speak for themselves but even THEY don't do the job justice. Then there is the price. I SWEAR the guy doesn't get minimum wage for the hours he puts in vs the prices you pay! The Merc is my old mans car. He spends pretty much EVERY Sunday cleaning it, takes the wheels off to polish them etc... and even HE was super impressed with the job Wasso did! MITZ@CougarStore
Nice work, Ian, I might have a few customers to put your way...
Wasso
Both Beemers were a joy and a pain to work on, but pictorially they stand out more than the cleaner vehicles. But like slim says, pictures don't really promote the finish as if in real life shall we say. I'm trying to source products from around the world to trial and experiment with at the moment. As I'm sure there are products we don't see in the UK which we could be missing out on. Andy (CS) happy to take on any recommendations maybe I could come over and example my work? (so that you know referrals won't come back and bite you on the bum) Thanks for all your comments though chaps, really appreciated
Wasso
As the weather has been so fantastic, especially for March, it would be daft not to detail a car. You'll recognise this one Col wanted a correction to his "Sponge Bob Squarepants" issue - and no that doesn't require surgery. I won't go into how it happened, but I'm sure it won't happen again - will it Col Col arrived yesterday afternoon and we set to work prepping the car for the endurance clean up in the morning, so we started with the necessary snow foam and jet wash. After all that hard work it was necessary to stop for plenty of and a curry Late night chatting and sleepy eyes ensued so it was time to hit the sack ready for the 8am rise and shine. (Yes I know that's not early, but hey, we were up late ) First thing was to clay the car, and what a pain Black is to clay, but oh boy the results were impressive. Col says he clayed the car, but I don't think he did really it's either that or all that southern smog is deadly for cars! Next up was the Meg's DA with Ultimate Compound, to treat the most severe areas of concern. After endless polishing hours we had success and dealt with the lesser areas of swirling and cleaning up the paintwork ready for the wax. Wax treatment was the infamous Dodo Juice Super Natural - and to this day I still believe this to be the ultimate wax. We were a little pushed for time as Col had to head back, but some of the photographic evidence shows some amazing light effects on the last set of pictures coming up. Thanks again Col for your business - and glad you enjoyed our hospitality and curry of course. It was a pleasure having you stay and the banter of course Oh and Red is the new Blue Enjoy the pics and any comments or questions ask away. Time for some clay work A bit of polish work Headlight lens was cloudy, so treated to some polish and hey'presto! Super Natural Wax And just for Doogyrev - Tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! And..... My favourite pic..... Cheers Col
