Oxon88
I have noticed a few annoying scratches on my 350's windscreen and was wondering if anyone knows what it would cost to have it replaced? and where would be the best place to have it done? cheers
Zugara
Don't you have a stone chip in the screen Autoglass I would have thought would be your best bet
leonk
Had mine replaced recently, cost £209.00 plus vat from a local company. I'm sure someone on here posted a cheaper price though a few months ago. I'd got £170 in my head for some reason. Sure someone will come along and confirm/disagree. rickoshay
I assume you are saying to claim off the insurance, but I found that Autoglass were reluctant to replace, prefering to repair, depending where any chip is- needs to be in the drivers zone. Are there various grades of windscreens- is this something to watch out for in deciding which quote to accept.
spursmaddave
Autoglass replaced mine, although it had a crack rather than a chip.... I wouldn't condone an illegal act to claim on the insurance but accidents DO happen Mine was done by an HGV on the A2 cost me £70 off my insurance
leonk
I know when the guy quoted for mine he said some don't include the black plastic trim bits and he always includes those, but for all I know it could have been sales b*ll Having said that he made a really neat and clean job and didn't damage the paint which I was worried about.
