nickmick
Can anyone suggest a repair to stop the CD player from skipping as a short term fix and also help me with what parts I need to replace the standard stereo within the 2004 non ft model? I' d like to upgrade the head unit but keep the steering controls. I' m also considering purchasing the Bluetooth adapter however if a purchase a stereo with Bluetooth will it connect to the steering controls and Mic? Ebized
You mentioned a short term fix - this might be worth a go, and free if you are a shoe box hoarder viewtopic.php?f=9&t=42641&hilit=Bose+condensation&start=
Vik54
Just make sure you unload your CDs when leaving the car at night and take them with you (so they're warm in the morning) - seems to help with condensation issues - and then don't load them back in until you've been on the go for ten minutes or so in the morning - so that everything's toasty - minimal skipping then if unit is warm and cds are warm there's zero skipping
