brummybird
Hi All, My rear nearside wheel/suspension is making a knocking sound and when I go over bumps and there is a little steping out from that side of the car. It really sounds like the bushes have gone but I am not sure how to change them. Do I purchase a kit for both sides or can I replace just the nearside? Does anybody have any suggestions on where to purchase the parts? If the job isnt horendous I was hoping to replace the parts myself. Any help is much appreciated. Best Regards, Lyndsey

Southernspeed
Mine has been making a knocking noise over even slightly bumpy road surfaces and Abbey diagnosed it as the rear ARB drop link ends. They're replacing them with their own upgraded ones. As Alex says, worth getting it diagnosed properly first as drop links are a lot easier to do than bushes! M13KYF
ARB bushes are pretty easy to change. If your changing the ARB droplinks its worth doing the bushes while your in there. Replace mine with some poly ones around £20 - £25 for them
brummybird
Thanks guys. I will get a second opinion first... I live in Retford, North Notts, has anybody had any experiance around here with the garages. I dont want my leg lifted by Nissan but I dont want to be seen as a bird that the garage can make money out of...
M13KYF
my brother did mine for me at his garage. He's just off the M1 parkway junction sheffield which is not too far from you. Sure he'd have a look for you and if need doing he could carry out the work

Wasso
I did my ARB bushes last weekend and it's a dead simple job. The hard part is getting access to underneath. Changing them should be charged no more than 1hr labour. Front compression bushes to be done on Friday.
