rodgeevans
Looking Good Thank you much appreciated especially from some one of your skill Nice Which brand of polished thanks are those? I prefer them to the weapon R tanks. Yeah i had a weapon_r before and was really disapointed with the quality and when trying to bleed the PAS as soon as you opened the cap it throw fluid all over the engine bay plus one of the outlets was the incorrect size, these ones are from an old trader called Chilli red but dont actually know the MFR but they are so much better designed doesnt throw fluid all over the engine bay and all the outlets are correct size and just look better in my opinion, i wouldn't recoment the weapon-R to anyone personally after my experience of them and i wont even try to sell my old one as i think it is just wrong. nice progress. Be good to see if painted and with the wheels on. Thanks, you and me both im getting really impatient just want it finished now! Like that engine bay... A lot! Wheels will really set her off now Thank you only a few bits and i can declare that part of the car finished, although deep down i know it will never be finished. samsniss350z
Wow, someone has been busy. I think your engine bay looks s*^t hot, i've never seen black mixed with yellow and it looks great. The Nismo LMGT4's are my favourite wheels of all time especially in silver. I know they are a few years old now but they still do it for me. I'd be inclined to go for the silver or else your car might be a bit of black overkill, but hey its your vehicle. I also think your Z burgers would look brilliant in gold. I saw a guy on an American site and he'd gone as far as gold plating his and set against the black they were the best 'burgers' i'd seen in my life. Looking forward to seeing the end product.

rodgeevans
Right a few bits to update, Sorry there will be lots of photos some not so great as i was using phone camera whole time First I would like to thank Steve 350Z and BulletMagnet for making this update possible. Right after a pleasant drive to Ipswich the other week on a nice afternoon, and after chatting away and looking at flip keys for most the afternoon i left with a K2 in the boot thanks to BM's generosity. This was quickly fixed (a small hole), then using my mates ramps fitted to the car to add to my berk HFC's and Miltek Y-pipe and will serve as my temporary exhaust. At the same time i gave the exhaust a quick clean and tucked the bumper. Next came the job i have been waiting about 5 months to do the refurb of my alloys so quick reminder i purchased these from Steve 350Z in autum last year and i got 3 very good condtion second hand alloys and one brand new. From here the sat under my bed until this month, when i decided the weather SEEMED to be improving and it was time to get them refurbed. The first stage was to give them a nice bath in acid to remove all the old paint from them. As i wanted to be there for the whole process it was a few days between the acid bath and the next stage so next up i put the wheels in the shot blasting cabnet and gave them a nice clean up. from here they were degreased washed dried and taken over to the oven for warming up. Once up to tempreture the wheels were primed in gloss black powder then baked at 200 for 20 minutes, after allowing to cool the wheels were ready to be put on the lathe, to probed and then diamond cut. after all four wheels were cut the rims were taken back over to the oven heated slightly and then laquered using an expensive high shine acrylic laquer then baked at 180. by the time all four wheels were cut and laquered it was getting late so we decided to call it a night and finish the last bits the following morning. So armed with my Nismo stickers and falken 453's i fitted up balanced applied the stickers and fitted the wheels to my car. Lastly i would like to thank Ash at www.paintituk.com for letting me help and working to 12:30 to get my wheels powdered, cut and laquered in one evening and doing a cracking job making my rims look like brand new now it just needs lowering so need to find a pair of rear springs anyone? and a set of brembos. rodgeevans
Nice work indeed, looks great Thank you Nice job indeed Thank You, slowly getting it to look like the image in my head Good progress!! May be winging some questions your way ref the audio cabling etc! Doing an install in our Zed soon and will be doing the same running cables into the doors etc. Be good to get some input from someone who has already done it Thank you Yeah no worries let me know what you want i will be happy to help you out (where you based?) Those wheels do make a difference, love that you do so much of the work yourself, i wish i have an ounce of knowledge and skill to do things myself. Can i ask how much the wheels were to have done? Cheers mate, alot of it seems more complicated than it actually is its just getting your head around it, planning properly and a lot of research if unsure. Also alot is learning as i go I believe skills are dying out in this country, so i try to learn as much as i can from people while i can. Im currently teaching my mate how to things as he has just bought a zed I taught him how to change his brakes the other day and next he wants to learn how to service his car oil change etc, easy as these things sound to some to others that never done those types of things it can be very daunting, but after showing him how he can now do the brakes by himself and was suprised how easy it was and is eager to learn more, so if you ever want to learn and im available i will try help mate if you want to give things ago that is, as i know your just around the corner. rodgeevans
Very Small update. Due to a rip in my drivers seat i have been looking for new seats for a while then found some OEM leather seat covers on Ebay which cost me the extortionate fee of £23 so went about fitting the Driver seat back last night pleased with the result hope to get the rest fitted today
Pete87
Bloody bargain I take it you had cloth before?
rodgeevans
Yeah standard non electric cloth trim as you can maybe just work out from the base of drivers and the full passenger seat at the moment, in a moment of forgetfulness i got in the car with a screwdriver in back pocket and put a hole in it and although i sewed it up i knew it was there and the cloth was begining to look a bit tatty. Yeah was a bargin and a half, look to be in really good condition too but even if i have to get some leather restore another 20 quid is only going to put me at £40 for a leather retrim cant say better than that. Will be doing the rest today and gonna try making a guide as i go if there isn't one already.
rodgeevans
Totally forgot about an update thanks to keyser for selling me a set of nismo rear springs to match the Apex front springs i had i now have a 30mm drop at front and 20mm at rear exactly what i wanted. Keyser
...................... I also fitted a review camera at the weekend but no pics of that Is that so you can look back at what you have already done? Nice work mate like the kick plate cover (LED's should be green though) Edited May 21, 2013 by Keyser
rodgeevans
Cheers unfortunately in the grand scheme of things to come green would clash, there pretty rare LEDS i used, which were hard enough finding in Red. I will add a full guide when complete. The Camera helps be see out the back as with my ironing board on the back i cant see much out the window. reminds me i was meaning to ask where did you get you V2 spoiler Chris
