rodgeevans
Thought i'd start a project to detail the changes i have been making to my Zed, How it came http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b405/rodgeevans/DSC_5487a.jpg http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b405/rodgeevans/DSC_5490a.jpg http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b405/rodgeevans/DSC_5486.jpg The first change i did was to fit the phoenix gold Sound system full phoenix gold amps titanium elite sub and component set plus some phoenix gold octane 6 components. photo also shows the real carbon fibre skined strut brace i made too. http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b405/rodgeevans/14072011417.jpg (a few more photos to add here) i also purchased some Nismo b pillar covers from a member on here and swapped them for the non defined ones that were on the car already but starting to look a little worse for wear. next i fitted a set of Yellow coolant hoses and added a standard airbox back in with a HKS filter using the ally pipe from the induction kit. http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b405/rodgeevans/DSC_0036-1.jpg the next thing i did was tint the rear lights i actually did this twice first time i used a fly eye kit but didnt like the finish and they looked to mat black so re-did them with tint spray http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b405/rodgeevans/30092011571.jpg a super bourbon i made whilst waiting for the paint to dry http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b405/rodgeevans/02042011319.jpg the next mod was a carbon fibre air duct in the front bumper. http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b405/rodgeevans/DSC_0967-1.jpg then came a major overhall under the bonnet including a plenum spacer and sprayed the headlight internals matt black. http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b405/rodgeevans/DSC_0039.jpg http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b405/rodgeevans/DSC_0048.jpg this is the current stage of the engine bay, and there are now alot more parts on order to add to it. http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/b405/rodgeevans/07102011589.jpg All mods have been DIY done by myself next on the list 1. finish under engine, 2. remap from abbey 3. Nismo Alloys 4. bodykit 5. much much more Edited July 10, 2022 by rodgeevans

Southernspeed
I really hope, for every road user's sake but especially motorcycles and cyclists, that those side windows aren't as black as they look in the photo!

rodgeevans
Couple more changes over the weekend. also the catch can fitted but couldnt find anywhere i liked under the bonnet so installed it behind the bumper also had one with 15mm outlets but managed to remove these and install 9mm outlets on it cost to change the outlets was only 3-4 quid and better solution than couple of reducers i believe Next is the pas tank and with thanks to zmanalex new pas fluid, new valve cover, new diff and gear box oil and belts. rodgeevans
Small update changed the valve cover on the Near side of the car was good fun to do as this was the first time i had to anything mechanically on the car other than the plenum spacer. first of had to remove the plenum upper and lower. then the valve cover i started putting it back together then realised i hadn't but silcone gasket sealer in the required places so back apart again next i tried fitting my Wepon-R PAS tank which is series one so had the wrong size outlets on it but with bit of modification and brute force managed to get the hose on. engine bay now looks like this. Next was to fit the new grill from Zmanalex which meant cutting the old one out which was a five minute job thanks to a brilliant power tool my friend had a quick file down of the edges and the new one was added I know it needed a wash. then finally i have changed the carpet in the boot for a propper 350z boot carpet and changed the strut cover for a new one i had colour coded next up i have some 370 side indicators to fit. rodgeevans
Few bits done recently. First up the clutch went so ordered a clutch kit from the ZMAN but unfortunately didnt have the exeedy flywheels in so after a bit of hunting round ordered the Competion cluth ultra lightweight. Next i purchased a set of genuine Nismo Side Skirts from Sparky370, one was damaged so i set about repairing the damage and a test fit then they came back off and were prep'd and primered. now on the waiting to be painted list with a few other bits. Now thanks to Sparky and another 350 owner i had a free set of Z burger badges, They were in need of a little tlc so i thought i would try something a little different. whats peoples opinion. then a test fitting, these were only held over the current badges with gum tape to see what it would look like, Now off on holiday, but more planned when i get back, comming up new bumpers, spoiler and wheels

rodgeevans
Gone to a good home indeed, was a simple fix sheet of fibre glass at the back for strength then some body filler and all fixed Spoiler, I Know im hoping its still there when i get back. cheers for the comment on engine bay it is still a work in progress as is the whole car, but thought i would concentrate on the bit people see for a while rather than the bit i only really see. well next time i drive down i will show you, I dont really show anything in person until im totally happy with it. Yeah i wasn't sure on the badges either maybe try a coat of black intead but they wont be fitted untill i get the new front bumper anyway so got plent of time to make my mind up. RE: Jack i am wanting alloys just waiting for one of the sets i want to come up i have 2 sets in mind that i want and not gonna rush and get somin else as i know what i want and just need to be patient and wait for them.
