Mega
RIGHT. Took me all of 3 hours to post my first problem! The drivers seat adjusts back, but not forward. They are GT seats so elec seatback adjust and elect motion forwards and backwards. Is thie just going to nissan to get sorted or is there anything you could suggest? Typically, the seat was adjusted fine.. and then I decided to move forward a bit and it didn't work: So I pushed it back which was fine, but now it's too far back to drive comfortably (fail) so needs sorting asap. Cheers.. Based in NW London incase you know anyone that can look at it.
Mega
Any ideas chap? It's in at Nissan Eastcote (MLWG) on Weds morn. I'm hoping it's just the switch? As it goes back so it can't be the motor..
flyboy
Operate the switch back and forth a few times " wiggle it" it always works on mine when it sticks. I think its because if you only have one driver it rarely gets moved and the contacts gum up without use. I now try and operate mine back and forth every few weeks to keep it operational. A bit of Plusgas or WD40 wont hurt. .
Mega
Held the switch hard as far forward as I could and it creeked back into life. So great advice mate thanks. Woohoo!
Woody
Sounds like dodgy contacts on the switch to me
bronzee
Sounds like Woody is onto it. Might just pay to check it's not something dumb, like a coin fallen out of your pocket and into the track.
Chris`I
Contact cleaner (aka isopropyl alcohol) from Maplin should sort it
