Chuck21
Hi, I'm hoping for some advice before I make my first attempt at detailing the Z; current plan is as follows: - Rinse then wash (Megiures gold/lambswool mit/two buckets) - Clay bar then rinse & dry - Paint clean (Meguires deep crystal) - Stage 1 polish (Autoglym super resin) - Stage 2 polish (Autoglym extra gloss protection) - Finish with Megiures tech-wax My main questoins are 1. is this the rihgt order to be doing it all in ? and 2. do I need the Autoglym EGP AND the tech-wax or should I replace the EGP with another coat of super resin polish ? Thanks in advance! Charlie

AK350Z
Order is fine. The EGP is a sealant, so it does go on before the wax.
Wasso
I'd recommend applying the wax as a hand applied hard wax. Lasts longer far longer than a liquid wax.
Chris`I
If you're just starting I recommend a wash followed by a quick polsih (SRP) and a sealant (EGP) or wax. I wouldnt recommend trying to do too much unless the car is garaged and you can spend a few days on it. Polishing it for the first time will take a couple of hours and claying it will take the same first time around. You dont want to be doing both for the first time. Leave claying for just after winter when you are happy with washing, polishing and waxing/sealing

ThriftyFifty
I personally would repeat the wash after clay barring... as you might get surface dirt hanging around after you've agitated it off with the clay.
