sickboy123
Hey all, I have a query about my car radio. I bought my 350z GT 55 reg a few months ago and realised the multi disc CD player wasnt working. The dealership have taken it out and sent it off to be repaired. When they reinstall it for me, will the radio require a pin code to input?, as ive read conflicting forums saying yes/no, also supposedly ive read the radio is paired for your specific car, is that true If anyone can shed any light that would be great, as I havent found a radio code at all in my paperwork. sparky370z
it shouldnt do as it is "married" to the car. they are linked with the ECU. i would hope the Nissan garage knows this already!! you cannot put in a different unit and expect it to work. M13KYF
a different unit will work if it has been divorced. You may well get a different unit. They units are sent of to clarion. They may just send out a refurbed unit in replacement
sickboy123
Cheers guys for the info, I bought the car from a sports car dealership, not Nissan and they have sent the radio off to Clarion. If the radio is divorced, how easy is it to get it married again to the car, whats needed and how much does it usually cost? I have a funny feeling when they do reinstall it, this divorce problem could possibly raise its head.
