lukekbrown
I've just disconnected my Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD Double Din head unit so that I can insert the standard head unit. I just want to know if i've disconnected the right stuff. Please see pics below. If you could let me know if I've done the right or wrong thing it would be much appreciated Here is a picture of what wiring i'm left with: Here is a picture of the wiring i've disconnected:

lukekbrown
yeah looks OK. just try it out and see. dont put all of the trim back. if it works then start to reassemble. I would but don't have the standard head unit to try Should have the standard head unit in a few days with any luck. I have a courier picking up the aftermarket head unit tomorrow to send to the buyer, so want to make sure I have all the wiring to connect the standard head unit back and the buyer has all the wiring to connect the aftermarket head unit to his Zed. But not 100% sure I have done the correct job, would just like to be sure before I let the courier pick the unit up Thanks
lukekbrown
I hope you've done it correctly, no pressure on you, haha haha! Can't wait to get it I hope so too... At least the wiring harness and everything has been sorted for you! Looks like a bit of electrical knowledge required to do that...
Adrian@TORQEN
Any idea if this unit works with the standard BT kit from Nissan? If not I might have to sell it and get the adaptor for the this unit...
lukekbrown
Stop hi jacking my thread To answer your question I don't think any aftermarket head unit works with Nissan bluetooth. But someone else would need to confirm to guarantee Can anyone else confirm If i've disconnected the right wiring?

lukekbrown
can i ask why your going back to the bose unit I'm converting the interior back to standard, so Bose is coming back I hope I don't get same problems as most people, otherwise I may revert back to an aftermarket head unit

Adrian@TORQEN
Hi, Got the Pioneer today, thanks! Trying to fit it, connected the three plugs as in the photo bellow, ignition ON, unit stays OFF. Anything else I need to do? Cheers, Adrian
Karlp
The cable not ringed needs to be plugged in to the black connector, always make sure HU is grounded.
Adrian@TORQEN
Do you mean like this? Plugs don't match, obviously This is how the plugs go into the original BOSE unit...
Karlp
Ah okay. On the black connector make sure the pins on the connector and holder are the same way, think there all at one side and there's about 7 of them
Adrian@TORQEN
Sorry, I don't understand
Karlp
The white block connector that goes into the black holder from the HU. Make sure the pins in the White connector meet with the pins in the black connector as I think there's about 7 pins in the block all on one side. If that makes sense
Adrian@TORQEN
To me it looks like there is one adapter / lead missing between the 2 remaining plugs...
Karlp
Hmmm? That looks right what youve got now. Which Loom did you get matey to connect it all up? Bose/non Bose?
Karlp
Ps on mine I also have only 1 block going into the black block connector

Adrian@TORQEN
What this setup, do I need to do anything else? Should it not come on when I turn the ignition ON? Not one single light / led comes ON at all...
Adrian@TORQEN
I'm such an idiot, the ground wasn't connected... Shoot me!
Karlp
If the wires have been spliced that may have been for lukes car and may vary slightly to yours, sorry can't be any further help , think you might need to take it into your local car audio specialist? Have you got a meter to test the power on the block connector? (it will be the red wire)
