synystermike
So just had the front of my zed repaired/respayed, cos some idiot scuffed my paint, anyway wanted to get some good car shampoo and wax. I hear there a few put a thin layer of whatever over the car that help prevent small stone chips and scratches. Any ideas which is best or what do you use, Will much appreciate your views. Jay
What colour of zed do you have?
Wasso
If only just painted you'll have to wait a fair few weeks for the paint to completely harden. Your bodyshop should have mentioned this.

Your bodyshop should have mentioned this. Tim @ Envy recommended 6 weeks to me when I had mine done, but I guess that's going full at it with a machine so you could probably get away with waiting a little less depending what you're doing. Jay
So you have a sunset zed The only reason I ask is there are different types of wax for colours ie. dodo juice Give tim and envy valeting a wee pm. I am sure he will point you in the right direction
srobrien
hey, no wax will prevent stone chips or scratches. You can get clear film that will stick to your bumper to stop it (http://www.venture-shield.co.uk/) but its a fortune and you wont be able to stick it on until your paint has fully hardened anyway. Anyhoo, as for shampoo I use dodo juice "Born to be mild" http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/dodo- ... d_491.html And for wax I would recommend, Collinite Super, it is a great all purpose wax and is very very durable http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/colli ... d_207.html Or for something a bit fruitier get yourself Dodo Juice Orange Crush http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/dodo- ... d_397.html Great wax and will smell great too.
