ric
Hi guys, Firstly, I'm not entirely sure this is in the right place, but after a quick google, I think it might be. My car passed its MOT today, which was cool. With other cars I've had I've never really taken much notice of the advisory sheet, but with my zed i want to take the up most care with it. The only 2 things on the sheet were about the rear tie bar rod (Slight corrosion and something else). Does anyone have a picture to identify this part on a 350? And does anyone have any suggestions as to what it can be replaced with?? Thanks in advance!
Zugara
Slight corrosion is OK, However, Something else would be a major issue which may require a new subframe..... Just kidding mate, what was the other issue mentioned.
ric
From memory it was slight corrosion and slight distortion with no effect on stability or something like that. Was planning on just replacing it completely with an aftermarket one (I assume its the bar which connects the bottom of the 2 rear struts), but wasn't sure if this was the best way forward! Zugara
PM I am sure he would be best placed to answer this question and no doubt have something in stock.
ric
I think this is what I need, but I'm not completely sure (The USA terminology is different to ours ). Is this correct? viewtopic.php?f=115&t=51990
Zugara
That is a Brace Ric, for strengthening the chassis. Do you have one fitted, but I doubt it would be an MOT item for inspection anyway... Maybe they are confused, and are talking about , Why not take the car back and get them to show you what they are talking about? http://www.courtesyparts.com/551a0-link ... 15822.html Or, http://www.courtesyparts.com/55110u-rod ... 15821.html Or, http://www.courtesyparts.com/kb_search_ ... ?keywords=[56261N]+\(z33&cPath=714_715_800_804 You should be looking for something that looks like this, if they are talking about tie-rods. http://www.nengun.com/tein/strengthened-tie-rods Another good site that gives exploded views. http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z-parts ... 0_804.html
