John, what did the MX5 go for in the end? I'll have to stalk the new owner now to see what he does to it!

The Pug I was looking at has sold :(

Looking for something similar still, if anything I need one for the bad weather (I live in a semi-remote area, and moving to a worse one)

I'll send you a pm with the selling price. he's got plans for it and will stick a thread up on Nutz.

i also got a shed which i can park anywhere , throw anything in it and its great

cost is around £600 a year for mot ,tax & insurance and an oil change

save's a few ££ on petrol

i'd say go for it , you can always sell your shed and probably not lose anything on it if you find its not

working for ya

I was looking into a shed because I rake up the miles on my zed. I do 100 a day getting to work and back and at 25mpg thats a lot of cash on fuel.

But, whilst I could easily buy a cheap diesel for 500quid which would cost me nothing to run, its the insurance which is going to throw the whole idea out of the window.

Even on admiral multi-car, I was looking at about £600 extra to insure a 2nd car. Add onto that road tax, an MOT, a yearly service and factor in maybe £150 a year on other bits which need replacing or repairing. And it worked out that I wouldnt be any better off than just using the zed full time.

Its a shame as id love a shed, maybe a 4x4 or something which I could use as a 2nd car to drop that mileage on the zed.
