Karlp
Hey guys, Everytime I close my boot my nismo v1 spoiler keeps marking the paintwork on the corner of the spoiler where it meets the boot lid, it seems to be bouncing slightly when I close the boot causing the marks on my paintwork. Is there anyway to avoid this? Am I closing the boot too hard? Does re spoiler need tightening up on the inside o the boot???
Roo
Do you mean where the pointed tips are a few mm above the boot?. Mine does it too. Some have foam between the blade abd the boot that stops it.

Roo
It was really neat so I asume something provide with the spoiler could be worth talking to a bodyshop and see if they have something of suitable grade and durability.

Mine was factory fitted and there is about an inch between the tips and the boot! Must be the difference between model years and possibly JDM vs UK. AK350Z
I just assumed from photos that all the ones that touched were the copys! Guess maybe not.
ChrisS
Got the shop that did mine to position them 4.5 to 5 mm off the boot so it would not happen. So far so good.

Cragus
I got a replica from Zmanalex and it's a couple of mm from the boot lid and I've never had any issues.
Neilp
Oh god i can see it now....... wait till neil p discovers this thread The genuine ones touch the boot and have a foam trim around edge of the tips. The spoiler you have was fitted by my painter and it was a replica which never had the foam around the tips.
Karlp
It seems to be on the left hand side where its hitting, Can anyone provide a pic of where the foam is supposed to be please

Must have modified the design by 2008 then, as mine's nowhere near:

Neilp
Here's mine... That is the exact same as mines with the foam in the same place The ones that usually fit dodgy are aftermarket and could be genuine but probably not a factory fit when the car was ordered.
