Cragus
...and support rabbitstew in becoming a world recognised michelin star awarding pie reviewer! After following his pie blog, I thought that a column of this topic would not go amiss in a lads mag like 'Nuts'. After all, what do blokes like better than scantily clad women, beer and a good pie. So, yesterday I wrote to nuts saying the following: Dear Sir/Madam, I am a regular reader of your magazine (ok - this isn't strictly true) and have a suggestion that I think would be widely accepted as an enjoyable column. I got the idea by following a colleague's blog which reviews pies. He is, in his words, 'right into pies' and would be the perfect candidate to carry this idea forward. Have a look at his blog: http://pie-reviews.blogspot.com/ Most of mates that I have mentioned it to now follow and think it's a great idea! Yours Sincerely, Craig Now I didn't know if I would hear back but today the Editor-at-large emailed me saying: Hi Craig, I'm hooked! Have your colleague take a photo of himself surrounded by pies and we’ll plug it on the Letters page. Pete @ Nuts It seems he is willing to plug the idea to readers and if it's received well by readers who knows??? Hopefully Rabbitstew is up for this as I've not even asked him yet but being the pie lover i know he is, he'll jumpmright on board. Let's support his pie in the sky dream and get him some pies so he can take a cracking photo. Pies, pie boxes and pie funds will be warmly received I'm sure. Better go tell him now
Lexx
mmmmmmmmmmmm pies. Hartlepool United's pies once reached the Top 5 in the country a number of years ago. Unfortunately they are now crappy Pukka Pies rather than home made. Anyways, I digress. I'll be sure to buy nuts that week!

rabbitstew
My god. I wonder how many pies id have to get to be "surrounded by pies" ??! At least I could wear the "who ate all the pies" T-shirt my missus bought me for Christmas!!!! Just had a thought... wonder if i could wear a gimp mask? As having my face in a lads mag may not go down well with my boss & customers!!! eeek! Nice work though Cragus!!!!!
EH 370z
Nice one, pies are great! Perhaps you could be surrounded by the empty pie tins, thusly suggesting your consumption of said culinary delights!!

Cragus
Yes Lexx - and let's not forget to email in and say how much you enjoyed the column. Rabbitstew - my idea for the photo is this. You sitting at the table gazing lovingly at the pie with crust that looks like it's been baked by the breath of god himself. In the background - a scantily clad dressed women looking for you to show interest in her pie and being ignored. And your could be any number of things: And my personal favourite: Sorry Doll! You've been pied! Thanks Neil - if this takes off he'll need a manager!

Chap
Sounds good. I just need a scantily clad female to assist. Any volunteers??? Wouldn't the missus object? I'm willing to lend morale support with your new found fame and glory if you need it, and just happen to specialise in handling scantily clad females. Also happen to know a retoucher and photographer who could probably organise a stack of models if needed, although I don't know many that would be keen on Nuts. Chap
You need to work a 350Z into the picture somehow, even if just in the background (with the website window sticker?).
Arkwright
You need to work a 350Z into the picture somehow, even if just in the background (with the website window sticker?). just use a roadster with the boot up. You should be able to squeeze a couple of pies in if you pack them carefully.

HaydnH
I reckon you should have a better scale for reviewing, something along the lines an inverse scale of gravy jugs needed to be able to eat the pies, i.e: 1 jug is good, 5 jugs is rubbish. rabbitstew
Not forgotten about this, stocked up on loads of pies at the weekend and ive been keeping some empty pie boxes, so when I get a spare minute i`ll get a picture sorted out for nuts. On another plus side, I checked my twitter account http://twitter.com/piereviews and out of the blue I now have Pukka Pies following me!!!!! How cool is that?!! Maybe they are looking for expert advice on their pies?
