Stew
Good news buddy. Just push for a 'suitable' hire car. ie one with a similar value and style! I tried this and got a diesel mondeo...... At least it was better than a fiesta!
mini
Been told I'm getting a merc C180 auto, never driven one before so that should be a bit of fun especially in this weather. Just got to think about what to do with my left foot for the next week now. Might try in car yoga

Sgt Wilson
Nice one! I got a diesel Micra
Stew
I would recomend sitting on your leg until you get used to it! Honestly. The merc has a foot operated ebrake so if you hit that instead of the 'clutch' you''ll be in serious trouble!
flakmunky
@mini Thats great news. Push your luck with the body shop if the other guys inshoorence is stumping up... I would claim that you can see where they have blown the new paint in and that they might have to do the front bumper as well.....!!!! mini
The body work has now been done and it's looking good as new again. They had to keep it for an extra week because the door lining and rear quarter had to be replaced!! It did mean I was in a hire car for extra week but at least the job was done properly

mini
Funny situation, he moved out just before he accepted liability!!! What's that all about? Maybe he thought I wanted to with him??? In some situation a few choice words go a long way!!!!
mini
By the way, I meant the guy that reversed into me has moved out not my mate who told me about it or my other "BIG" friend that kept giving him @*!# when I wasn't around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
