mick43
A few years back I had the dropping clutch pedal when hot (journey time of 1.5 to 2 hrs). Fitted steel line and everything fine until now - problem probably returned due to garage using bog std fluid back then. Now replaced with high temp stuff. Now, bleeding the bleeding thing was a PITA then and again yesterday. We managed to sort ok three years back - eventually !! but yesterday no such luck. Pedal working ok but had an inch of free movement at top of travel Mechanic said try this and it worked Prop piece of wood or similar under steering wheel, which is long enough to fully depress clutch pedal over night - the theory is that it squeezes out any air (I also left master cylinder cap loose). Result is that my pedal has returned to its formal glory. Another tip to help the bleeding process is to keep pressure against slave cylinder piston when pushing pedal down inside car. Hope this helps and not re-post. I previously searched this and US site to find a bleeding technique without success.
