Dom187
Hi all, I am looking at car to buy froma Nissan dealer and I notice on the front wing it has got a small stone chip and its gone through to the metal and started to rust (no bubbling yet). Would this be covered as part of the corrsion waranty? Naturally I am going to ask them to fix this before I would even consider buying the car, but in the future how does this kind of thing get fixed? And who would pay for it? Do you have to sand down that area of the panel to remove the rust then repaint? Or can you just paint over it? Thanks
bronzee
I'd get it done professionally, the dealer should pay for this, so it all matches, or it will drive you nuts.
Zugara
I think you will find, as with all car manufactures, corrosion warranty is ONLY valid, if, the corrosion starts from behind the paint work. As its a stone chip, it wouldn't be covered because the corrosion has started from the outside of the paint work.

slimjim
Zugara is right... but tell them you want it doing ANYWAY... If they want to sell it, they will do it
