C.J
When removing the fuel/petrol cap, what would cause a slight (1 second) gasp/whoosh of air? Sounds like a vacuum of air (I can't tell if it's blowing or sucking), hissing when opening the cap to fill up. Any ideas?
Wasso
It's only something like the fumes in the tank. They build up and when you unscrew the cap it does as you say gasp/woosh

C.J
Thanks guys. I've never heard this in any of my past cars, so was surprised to hear it. I assume all Zeds do this? What's the cause, different venting set up?
HaydnH
The Z has a huge petrol tank as well which will make a difference.
EH 370z
Most nissan petrol cars do it, to an extent. But if you feel it is very bad to the point you cannot get the cap off, it could be a blocked breather pipe. but unlikley

Lexx
You should hear it on my HSV when I have ran the tank down. It's been loud enough to make other people in the petrol station look round at me!
