In no particular order...

Blade 2

The Empire Strikes Back

Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (the only film I've been to in the UK where the audience applauded)

Alien3

Saving Private Ryan

Full Metal Jacket

Pitch Black

Master and Commander

Gladiator

There are so many good films it's difficult to choose just 10 to make up the list.

Alright Andy - no cheating this time - I've chosen a film from the trilogies.

Jackie Brown

Very underrated. Top film!

I know Tarantino didn't write it but it's a brilliantly directed film. Top sound track too.... well if you like 70s lovey dovey tunes.....

Couldn't agree more. Got the soundtrack too! :teeth:

Well, he did write it......kind of. He wrote the screenplay by adapting it from a novel called Rum Punch or something.

I love how much of psycho De Niro is in it!!

How did you get this far into listing without "The Usual Suspects"?

Add, for me:

Anything by Kubrick - "Lolita" to "Eyes Wide Shut"

All Matrix, but particularly the first and the Animatrix

Shawshank Redemption

Life of Brian

Silence of the Lambs

Revolver

Two Lane Blacktop

Easy Rider

M.A.S.H.

and for childhood nostalgia (one of the first films I ever saw at the cinema), "Whistle Down the Wind" with a pre-pubescent (barely) Hayley Mills...

Good on ya Mr.F

Usual Suspects IS a classic

I shall be seeing Hannibal Rising soon, hoping it's as good as the other Thomas Harris offerings. As for Hayley Mills, bit before my time.

I think 'Song of the South' was my first cinema experience. Zipperdedoodah! etc

I'm reading the book at the moment and it's not impressing me - I think Thomas Harris has lost it as a writer. The last Hannibal book read like a screenplay which I felt was quite cynical as an author.

I hope the film of Hannibal Rising is better than what I've read so far!

Wouldn't bother seeing the film tbh, very disappointing
