Roo
Before i go mental with the dremel is the bolt pictured. (the one next to the backbox on the flange) just rusted to the flange or is it welded to the flang so i should leave it be. i noticed it had a round head which made me question whipping out the cutting tools. Neilp
Just drill it out and fit a nut and bolt, simples +1 I done this with an exhaust before selling it on here. Looks much better and alot stronger looking. It's a bit awkward to get into the head to drill it out completely. I went from the broken end towards the head and then once the drill was through for a guide hole I attacked the head with a big drill bit to take it right off. Roo
The thread looks good so is there any practical reason (other that fun) for drilling it? Its going on mine so if there is a structural benefit then ill do it!
Husky
it will rot over time causing a headache in future, as said, chop it out and put a nice one on instead.
