coldel
Sorry to hijack, but I would like to tint my rear lights as well...what are the legals around it? I have a black Zed, with black badges, and half black wheels - I think some blackish rear lights would go off a treat...
TomS
You have to let through a certain amount of light don't you for MOT? I remember reading something about this a while ago as it darkens the lights and remains MOT passable. http://www.flyeyeskit.co.uk and it even says you can get a refund if you're not happy, even if you've used them within 7 days! coldel
Or is it worth going the whole hog for something like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/03-05-Nissan-350Z-Smoked-Tint-LED-Tail-Lights-Lamps-05-/230652042568?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35b3eedd48

coldel
Think I may just order a few bits of film for now Having now vinyl wrapped a few bits of the interior and successfully reset the gear gate last night my confidence in my very basic DIY skills is slowly growing Whereabouts are you jumping350? There is a blade 350z that is always parked near Putney Bridge...literally 2 mins walk down the road.
buster
hope this helps you make a decision....had a set of jdm led clear unit covered in a smoked film.took the guy about 45mins pre unit and he s a professional vinyl grafics fitter. anyway i was very happy with the end result. ran with them for about 18 months witrh no probs from the o'5 .replaced them with Keyser;s red led units recently for a less aggresive look. spursmaddave
I would personally steer clear of solid wrap, the flyeye stuff is quite good i got some for my black Leon
rodgeevans
i personally didn't like the fly eye kit it was too matt and just didn't look right on my black 350, was easy to fit however. So i ended up getting a spare set of lights and spraying them with tint and polishing to a nice shine looks much better and still lets thru plenty of light. slimjim
Where are your reflectors? Looks like points to me...
rodgeevans
the picture actually made them look slightly darker than they are, so the reflectors still function
M13KYF
I would seriously think re think about tinting stand OEM lights. Dangerous as hell if they are done. Ex member did them and it was very difficult to see brake lights in day light. He received quite a few complaints from fellow zed drivers on wales drive
rodgeevans
if done correctly then they are fine mine are perfectly visable in daylight
TomS
What size sheets do you need for the FlyEyes if anyone has done it?
rodgeevans
it was a while ago now but think it was the 30x120 i got which if you do the 2 lights next to each lights gives you loads of spare to do the indicators etc
