Lexx
Pop charger is just another name for a cone filter intake. So technically, since you are running a K&N Typhoon, you already have a "pop charger" fitted. As you say, they are only for noise. and you lose power due to heat soak. An 06+ air box is by far the best system if you dont want to lose power.

OR you can by the conversion kit which "rtbiscuit" now sells. IF you care about power, then change for the standard box. If you prefer to have the noise - which many do. Then leave alone, and K&N is one of the loudest on the market. If you prefer about looks and noise - change to a JWT Intake as it has a blue filter with Chrome lip. Lexx
As I say, no need to buy a full 06 box (rare as hens teeth) Just get the conversion kit viewtopic.php?f=38&t=50496
