stivvy101 Posted July 15, 2011 Share Posted July 15, 2011 OK only owned my 350Z 23 days unfortunately after 6 it was back to the garage because of dtv (warped rotors) i noticed after a few days the car was shuddering slightly under braking. The work has beeen carried out now and i will be picking it up tomorrow its a 04 silverstone grey GT only 40k miles obviously im thinking the car has been driven hard by the previous owner . my question is can the gear box / clutch / engine etc take a lot of " hammering" for want of a better word because i have no hope of a refund and really want to start enjoying the car in the future. thanks for any help... Yeah, had disks go into warp mode after about 9 months and 2k miles on my brand new Celica. Stroudy Posted July 16, 2011 Share Posted July 16, 2011 Got a slightly warped front right rotor on mine due to rust through little use before i had it but was minimal enough to pass MOT without even an advisory. What most people refer to as warped discs is actually DTV. The Zed seems to be very fussy about disc runout. If not installed with correct runout then you will get DTV within a few thousand miles.
