As per my post in the South East meet thread, i need my front alloy redipped.

Does anyone know any companies down near north london or national that will come to my house and do this for me? If not, one that i can take it there and leave it while i go to work or something?

Thanks all :(

when I went to get my new tyres fitted the shop had a leaflet from a company in Milton Keynes... they refurbish alloys etc... but what interested me was that they made a statement:

"exchange service available" ( on most models )

I guess this means you can give them a call and when you go and collect you get a refurb'd wheel for your old one without any waiting? if they stock z wheels...

I have not tried them or checked them, but to me this is a great idea...so long as they can guarantee the wheel they give you has not been completely F@#@ed

I am not sure if i am allowed to post company names so if a moderator says it is ok in these postings... and people are interested I will post it...

What do you mean redipped?

Chromed? If so Buy a new wheel it will be cheaper lol

Painted?

PowderCoated?

By redipped i mean made round again as when i hit the curb it dented it a bit so it dips in on one part of the wheel.

Thanks zzzz... for that, i will give them a call later today

You can see the damage in this pic, its not too bad, but still needs to be sorted

Thats not going to come out mate. Time for a new one. These are forged rims not cast so you wont be able to reshape without seriously affecting it. Sorry. Pristine are very very good. But i think there exchange option will be for most standard cars (i.e. not the zed) and will be a steel rim.

Yep totally agree with Dash, I wouldnt trust a repaired wheel..in the past I have had a "repaired" wheel let go on the motorway.. :scare: I was lucky :headhurt:
Then thats what i will do, there is no cost i wouldnt pay for safety so its new wheel time! :headhurt:

Does anyone know where i can get one cheaply if i dont get one from this guy?

Thanks
