Dano190485
hi i have a 313 350z and have already changed the panel filters to cai's. ive now decided that im going to change to a scorpion exhaust, but here comes my problem i cant decide between decats or hfc's to go with it. just wondered what the differences were apart from the obvious mot prob with the decats. I am planning on having a remap aslo if that makes a difference. also is there anything else i should maybe looking at to go along with it as i want to get all the work done at once..... James B
Decats will fail emissions and your car won't be road legal (only OK for track)! Just get HFC's and a remap. The BHP difference isn't going to be huge so why give yourself more work and headache than needed?!
Stroudy
As above, but depends on the useage of your Zed. A lot of people on here have decats and love it but HFC's are a better option for a car that lives the majority of its life on the road. Will still sound much better.. not that its bad anyway
brown7758
for other work, plenum spacer seems very popular as a pre map mod with regards to the cats, if you have easy access to swap them back once a year then id think about decats, if not then i would pay the extra for good HFCs
