Uberdread
Hey guys, Well after less then a years ownership it looks like I'm going to have to sell my pride and joy! I'm moving away and cant take her with me so I'm looking for a good home for her, for a fee of cause. She is an absolute dream to drive and a serious head turner! Never had any problems with her aside from the lack of back seats! I have a bit of a problem though as I'm not sure what she should be worth. I've done loads of research on the forum for guide prices and on pistonheads to see final selling prices, but I've never seen a red GT nismo zed like mine so don't have a yard stick to measure against. There was a silver 53 plate GT nismo that sold for £11.5k on pistonheads just recently, but as far as I could tell it didn't have an uprated induction kit or the exhaust system as mine has, but it did have the buit-in satnav. There are some bodywork issues that need fixing before she can sell for maximum price (I guess): -Crack on the front bumper -Crack on side skirt -Small key scratch on front NS wing I've already had some quotes to get all this fixed (around the £500 mark). Specs: 53 plate 350z GT 65k miles Black leather seats Climate control Xeon lights Brembo discs ABS TCR/ESP Cruise control Original Bluetooth module for mobile phone connection Alpine stereo system with ipod and usb connection (original Bose stereo also included) Full nismo body kit 5Zigen pro race exhaust Apexi induction kit MOT till Feb 2012 Tax till sept 2011 So what do you guys think would be a good price? Is it worth doing the bodywork before selling to get a better price? Cheers in advance,
sasha@lazytrips
I'm not too sure on the price element (although I would say that £11.5k for a 53 plate is way too high even with the add-ons), but I would fix everything before selling as you're likely to end up taking the same net profit as you otherwise would, but would significantly increase the liquidity of the car. If you take it back to standard in terms of exhaust, etc, that may make it even more liquid and net you a slightly better profit if you sell the parts separately although will make it a lot more of a headache. Uberdread
Thanks for the tips. I also though £11.5k was high for a 53 plate, but here it is, and it's an import too... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2706396.htm Unfortunately I can't take the exhaust and induction back to stock as I don't have the original parts. That doesn't mean that the car sold for £11.5k though............. a 53 plate car is about £8k, add a few hundred for the zorst and bodykit and a figure of about £9k is a realistic selling price imo...... Even £9k is optimistic I feel. I suppose it depends on how quickly you want to sell.

I think you'll find that it was sold for A LOT less than £11.5k given that the dealer has now put it up for £11k (usually at least a £2k mark up). http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2855480.htm

Uberdread
Another 8 quality posts and we might even let you advertise it on here! Ha! Yeah that would be cool. To be honest I don't really want to sell it as I really do love it, but there is just no way to take it with me. Would be great if someone bought it on here then at least I know it was going to a good home, and then I could possibly buy it back when I return. Uberdread
AK350z I just seen you got a red nismo too!!! Sweet!! Do you get as many head turns and stuff as I do?!?! I actually had one girl stare so hard that she walked into a lamp post! I felt so bad laughing at her that I offered her a lift, she was so embarrassed!
