DoubleDeuce1973
Hi guys, My replacement OEM front Y section is due to arrive tomorrow and I was wondering how easy it would be to fit. I have read a few posts on here about how difficult the old exhaust can be to remove but not sure whether the Y section is the problem or other parts of the exhaust. Is it as simple as remove 2 bolts to each cat and 2 from the centre piece or have I made it sound easier than it is? Any hints, tips or advice greatly appreciated. Husky
get a blow torch and heat it first. Make sure the socket you are using is firmly on before applying force.

Ian
After doing a couple of changes on a Z, paying a garage £50 to do it is the much easier option Shame I only realised that halfway through reinstalling my cats & after I'd removed the whole system

Husky
and if one of the bolts does shear on the cats while working on it, the removal of the remainders of that bolt could well ruin the cat... i say this from experience.
