taffzrx
Hi all ive been lurking in the background for a while, but thought it time for a question. I have upgraded my head unit to an Alpine CDE-113BTHAL but now have the problem of quiet speakers. Apart from getting some in line boosters which i dont really fancy. I was thinking of ditching the whole bose set up and putting some matched Alpine SXE-1725S speakers in the doors run directly from the alpine head unit. then buying a new subwoofer and amp. Qs... if the alpine speakers are ok does anybody know if they will fit into the doors or will the window glass hit!!! any suggestions of what amp and sub i should fit?? im intending the sub to fit into the old OE hole I.E 10" Any other suggestions greatly appreciated TA Taff
un1eash
If your going to upgrade the fronts you'll want a component setup for the best quality. The SXE-1725S is a coaxial speaker but if using the existing speaker to mount them then yes they would fit ok. I personnally wouldnt fit a more powerfull subwoofer behind the drivers seat, it gets annoying having all the bass kicking you in the back. taffzrx
Many thanks, ive seen some Alpine 1750s components to put in the doors, still not sure what to do with the rears yet ??
un1eash
Leave them stock, you can upgrade them but i prefer my sound stage more forward so fade them out 70-80% anyway so didnt see the need to upgrade.
