rickya
My current struts are just letting the rear hatch fall on my head every time. Now I have resorted to resting it on my heaad while I get things out of the boot! Neddles to say its doing my head in As the title says getting them custom made from a company who specialise in them. I'l have to take both off & send it to them to copy. They will have to be made with more gas pressure especially as I have a large Impul rear spoiler weighing it down even more. So I'l measure the forces being applied on the way down by fixing a newton meter to the end of the hatch lid. This figure will help them manufacture it to a more accurate pressure. Only problem is they are closing for Xmas end of next week & manufacturing can take upto 3 weeks. So I will send my struts in start of Jan 07 & see what comes of it. The best bit is they are doing it for approx £40 for the pair!! Will update on progress. If it works will be a better way than paying Nissan apprx £170! Also the company should have the design on their system then & will be quicker to manufacture.
