manphibian
Hi chaps, Agreed a sale for my TT, which has my private reg on... Applied to put it on retention last week, and got the new tax disc and MOT today, still waiting for actual retention cert. Now the new V5c takes up to 4 weeks now to arrive, do you think it's ok to sell the car before it comes back, make out a proper receipt with time and date of sale, then when the V5c comes back, fill it in and send it off and post the new keeper bit to the guy buying? stuarty
I sold a VXR to a car trader a few years ago and he was happy to take car without V5c document. He retained £250 of the purchase price which he sent me by cheque when I forwarded him the new V5c.
Madison
I sold a car with out the v5. We sent it off when it turn up. Also the v5 is no longer proof of ownership.
Ekona
Don't sell the car unless you have the certificate in your hand. Simple as that.
